 PASS
PLUS is a road safety initiative aimed at improving the skills of
novice drivers.
New drivers are more likely to have a crash in their first two years
of driving than at any other time in their driving career. This is
where Pass Plus comes in.
After you pass your test you can pay for structured tuition.
Pupils reaching the required standard should be entitled to a
substantial discount on their motor insurance premium from companies
supporting the scheme.
PASS PLUS is made up of 6 modules, which you can take at any time
within 12 months of passing your practical test

driving
Driving in town can be daunting: rush hour traffic, complicated
junctions and traffic systems... learn the skills to deal with all
these and more.

All-weather
driving
Rain, fog, bright sunshine, snow and ice: find out how to drive
safely in all the different weather conditions you'll face on the

Country roads can harbour all kinds of hazards, from sharp bends and

Motorways are like no other roads: learn how to drive on them safely
and correctly under expert supervision

No test! -
Your driving will be continually assessed and you must successfully
complete all the modules in the course to an achieved or exceeded standard.
In exceptional circumstances, if a module can't be done on the road
it will be covered in a theory session. The highest level you can
reach is 'achieved' as you've not been able to demonstrate the
relevant practical skills.

Council Discount Scheme
Are you interested in taking some Pass Plus tuition but would like
some help with the costs? In light of the importance and
success of the Pass Plus course several local authorities are
helping pupils with the cost of the course.
They can offer discounts up to 50% of the full tuition costs.
